Day 2: 3/18/07 After playing car switch-a-roo to move the blown up turbo car (which we finally found out needs a total rebuild) the 89 had some work done to it. While deciding what else to do, the interior was cleaned up. There is very little that needs to be changed with the interior, though I think I'll be putting the stock seats back in and changing the rear carpet to another that I have that has the rear box on it. Once the car was up on jacks and ready to work on. Everything went pretty quickly. The engine bay was cleaned out of all the spider webs and grass with a huge air blower. Everything was disconnected. And the engine came out. It was that quick. It had already been drained of oil and coolant by the previous owner (when he put a rod through the block. Now it's time to clean up the engine bay some, get rid of extra systems the car doesn't need. Wait for the harnesses to come back, and put the 20v in! |
